About The Maker
My name is Bradford K. Fairall, and I have been Making knives since 1991.  My art carrier
started at an early age. Before knives I made jewelry, did antler carvings, antler pipes, leather
work, gun smithing, gun stock carving, cartooning, pencil drawings, scrimshaw, and engraving,
with carving and scrim going all the way back to 1974, and artwork from the 60,s .  In 1991 I met
a local man to Columbus Ohio named Mick Koval.  Mick taught me to grind my first blade, and I
took it from there.

In 1994 I joined Briar Industries and learned to make custom folding knives.  In the 10 years I
was there, I learned machining, prototyping, engineering, and improved my blade grinding and
finishing skills to the highest levels. As a part of that team, I saw the results of my labor in
countless magazines without the mention of my name.  As a silent co-designer, I received no
credit for my contributions, or for the  innovations I put forth to insure the success of the product
line, and that is as it should be.  I would like to thank Briar Industries for the experience, and
education I received there, as well as that opportunity, and for the support of my family during
that time.

Since leaving Briar, I have become educated in CAD design and machine programming.

I am back to putting my original mark on my work, calling it the Ghostmakers mark, and you will
see it throughout this site. I also use Fairall Designs to mark many knives.

I am the sole author of all my, CAD designs, knives, sheathes,
engravings, carvings, textured finishes, file work, nugget engraving,
prototyping, and inventions (including mechanisms), When I need a
design, I don't borrow one and improve it....I start from scratch, and
make it my way!

I am looking forward to making a knife for you, and to making knives for the remainder of my life!

Thank you,
Bradford K. Fairall
