Above you see side one, or the presentation side of my rough ground Blade.        Note: Both sides should look the same at this point.    Notice I grind     
                                                                                                                                 high as possible, but leaving enough to make a strong blade back.
Here i use a digital caliper to ensure the height of grind is perfect.                                                                        This side must match.
The distance from tip to point of flat must also match side to side.                         Matching these points ensures uniformity and keeps the tip on center.
Here you see the line I scribed to ensure the tip stays centered on top.                    Of course it must stay centered the length of the edge grind as well.
A shot showing that the grind must also stay centered and at the same distance back from the
tip. This gives the blade true balance.
