The next stage is the clip grind. I use a more difficult grind here, one that must be perfect in angle, depth, and distance. Any mistake here is very
noticeable. Once again the calipers come into use. They must appear exactly the same side to side.

Here i use a digital caliper to ensure the length of the grind is perfect side to side
Measuring the same distance in from the beginning of the grind tells all. Even a fraction of a degree off in angle and it would be off by several thousandths
here. The grind must also graduate and lessen as you get closer to the tip, but at the same depth, distance and angle as the other side.

If all is right, these two points will be in the same place from side to side. Next I will blast and surface grind
